Public Squares

The Piazza (public square) of St. Mark's is situated between the Ducal Palace, the Library, and the basilica. Here
you will find the campanile with its monolithic columns, one Saint Theodore, and the patron saint of Venice over
looking the square, while the other the Lion of St. Mark. On the Piazza San Marco, you will find St. Mark’s Cathedral,
the Doge’s Palace, the 98.60 metre bell tower with the signs of the zodiac and several museums.
